I will be staying at a hotel on State street with my significant other and visiting there for the weekend, I'm curious what else we can do and really worth doing. I did some googling, but I found out that I rather have "real" input. Any help?

It seems like some communities are dead, so it will be x-posted.

thanks in advance! I'm excited to visit!!

Does anyone like the band Turbonegro? Is anyone willing to start up a Turbojugend chapter?

I'm also looking to apply to SBCC for this coming fall (2008). More specifically in the SBCC - UCSB transfer (academy?) program. I just went to SB for the first time last week and loved it. I was hoping some of you might know a bit about the transfer program and possibly some views on what the school is like. Also if anyone has any information on the anthropology program (at SBCC and/or USCB), and how easy it is to meet people out there. Thank you!

♥ Beth

I don't even know if this is gonna do me any good, cause this community seems a little dead to me? Haha oh whatever, I'll give it a shot.

I'm thinking about applying to SBCC, so I'm already checking out rooms and what not.. not that I need one right, but I just wanna see what's out there and I've never actually been to Santa Barbara before, so.. Just curious, I guess.

Anyway, let's get to the point.

Are there any bad/shady areas/neighborhoods in Santa Barbara? Cause like I said before, I haven't been there and basically I know nothing about this city. I've only heard about it through others + I've read about it online, so I'm pretty much a SB-virgin! And I don't wanna end up living in a bad neighborhood.

Also.. Are there many international students at SBCC?

I hope some of you can and will answer my questions :) Thanks!

For those with Yahoo accounts, I've set up a general SBCC group, which you're welcome to join. Make click.

Hey, i am looking for an actress for a Film Noir film i'm making. I will probably be entering it into a festival if everything works out. The movie itself is somewhat risqu'e. If anyone is interested or knows anyone that may be interested email me at Kdog940@sbcglobal.net for more details. Thanks

SBCC Film students or people interested in film and travelling:

There is now officially a Study Abroad through Santa Barbara City College to Thailand focused on Film scheduled for [this] Summer 2006.

Go to the study abroad office on east campus for more information and details regarding the trip if interested.

I just saw it this morning, they just posted near the Humanities building about it. I highly recommend anyone interested to go on study abroads, because that kind of experience is priceless. ESPECIALLY anywhere in Asia.
